I love Daddy because he lets us play tickle-wrestle. It's where you tickle and you wrestle at the same time.
I love Daddy because he lets us play hide-and-seek and takes us to the movies and plays musical chairs. But I'm the champion. He always cheats. He moves the chair so I lose.
I love Daddy because he reads stories to me and does funny voices like a pirate and King Julian. It's okay that sometimes he almost falls asleep when he reads. One time he fell asleep when you were working Mommy and Austin and I turned on the tv and watched it. And I made popcorn for us.
Austin-
I love Daddy because he plays with me and plays Star Wars. I win him because I fight him with my Star Wars sword that lights up.
Daddy is fun because he takes us to Disneyland and to Sea World. And he takes us to a garage sale and to a cool store where we can buy cool things. He takes us to the beach and to the pool. He throws me up high and holds me up high like Simba. I go under water and I know how to go under water. I jump on Daddy's shoulders and it didn't hurt him and I jumped off. It was amazing!
Daddy gives us swirl ice cream. He is tough, his arms have big rocks in them. When I get out of bed at night Daddy says, "Get in bed." Then if he sees me again he says like a robot, "I-will-turn-off-the-light" so I hurry and tuck myself in with my cape.

Happy Father's Day, Jared! Sounds like you had a good one--full of fun things happening to you. I love that you guys make "making Memories" so important in your family. We did too. I think it's perfectly great to do something as a family on a school day if you need to. Those memories are what last forever. Yes, I remember those first school days well. You were in year-round school, and we loved it! You went for a few weeks, then had 2 weeks off, then went for a few weeks, etc. You never got tired of school or vacation. It's just hard to have more than 1 child on that schedule because it's never the same schedule. Enjoy it all!!! Love, Mom Wish we could have been there for the fun graduation!
