Our Pursuit of Happiness

We had an awesome 4th of July this year.
Though we are always so appreciative,
for ALL the rights, liberties and freedoms
that our forefathers
and the armed forces ever since
have fought and sacrificed so much for,
this weekend we especially enjoyed
our unalienable rights of life, liberty and
the pursuit of happiness,
and more specifically
our right to peaceably assemble:
~At the tide pools
~At our ward's big 4th of July breakfast
(at the park right by our house)
~At Gramma and Grampa's house
for a BBQ dinner and for some quality family playtime
~At the pool
(so Jared and I could leave early
and go peaceably assemble
at the movie theater to watch Super 8
while the kids swam with Gramma- thank you Gramma!)
~And finally (and best of all according to Austin)
we enjoyed our right to peaceably assemble
on top of my parents 2nd story roof
to eat ice cream cones
and watch fireworks
(no slips or falls off of it either
so there was no emergency assembly
at the ER either-whew!)
**One last thing, for those of you wondering, the Americana wedding cake that Quincy chowed down on turned out fine so he doesn't have to worry about my right to bear arms.

Your posts are always so clever. Wish my pregnant fried brain could work like that. I can always aspire though.
