BAD news

Jared and the kids' favorite thing to do while I'm at Young Womens each Wednesday night is what they term, "Tickle Wrestle." It's basically a Bunker free-for-all and all 3 of them LOVE it. It normally involves a lot of chasing wildly around the house, tickling, sword fighting, light-sabers, flashlights, kung-foo, wrestling, karate and of course tickling....all with lights dimmed or out completely. It normally ends either when one, both, or all are in tears from injuries or 5 minutes before I come home so Jared can quickly say that he made an attempt at putting the kids down to bed.

So last night when I came home and asked Jared for the normal Wednesday night update of how things went with him and the kiddies, I was immediately anxious when he got this worried look on his face and told me that he had some bad news.
Something broke.

Oh boy. That could be anything. My mind quickly started going down the list...
Avery broke a bone?!?
Austin broke his nose?!?
Chase became collateral damage?!?
They busted a window?!?
They smashed a lamp, a frame or both?!?
Our entire collection of dishes shattered?!?

He looked genuinely distressed and I was beginning to feel the same way until he told me what broke:
His favorite Jack Sparrow Disneyland sword
Apparently it's his favorite "swatting" sword. I didn't even want to ask what that meant because what happens in "Tickle Wrestle" STAYS in "Tickle Wrestle." Avery and Austin are apparently pretty broken up about it too, both told me the sad tale this morning when they woke up. However will we manage with only 9 light sabers,5 foam swords, 4 spears, and 3 other plastic ones?!?

Thats a big LOL! Poor Jared.... I'm sure you will have to scour the ends of the Earth to replace that special one of a kind sword. I feel for him I do ......

Awwww, Jared! Yep that's what happens with rough playing. I know a few other things that have been broken from the same eventful playing. You'll have to get another one the next time you're at Disneyland. Love, Mom
